Melissa McCarthy and Paapa Essiedu film Bernard and the Genie in NYC

On Tuesday, two-time Oscar nominee Melissa McCarthy and Emmy nominee Paapa Essiedu were spotted for the first time on the Manhattan Times Square set of Universal and Working Title’s remake of Bernard and the Genie.

The Illinois-born 52-year-old and the 32-year-old Englishman both braved the snowy freezing weather to haul shopping bags from FAO Schwarz and Bloomingdale’s for the Christmas fairytale comedy.
